Missed appointments

At King Cross Surgery, we aim to provide as many appointments as possible, but missed appointments can affect availability. In January 2023, 127 patients failed to attend or had missed booked telephone assessments, resulting in 32 hours of wasted clinical time and extra appointments to replace them.

We continuously work to reduce waste and improve accessibility. While we understand the nationwide shortage of clinical staff, hiring more personnel is not a solution. By highlighting missed appointments and encouraging patients to cancel unnecessary appointments, we can make these wasted appointments available to others.
