Dental Out of Hours

Information for when you require urgent dental treatment.

If you need urgent treatment, please contact your usual dental practice, as they may be able to see you or direct you to an urgent dental care service. If you do not have a regular dentist, contact NHS 111 for advice on where you can get urgent care.

The cost of emergency dental treatment is currently £23.80. This covers emergency care in a primary care NHS dental practice such as pain relief or a temporary filling.

You may be advised to make another appointment for a separate course of non-urgent treatment. If this happens, you will have to pay a second charge in the relevant treatment band.

Local Enhanced Access Appointments

Our practices off extra appointments called Enhanced Access, which are generally available on the following days and times, at different locations across Calderdale:

Monday to Friday 18:30 to 20:00

Saturdays 09:00 to 17:00

Some services will be available outside of these times, so please check with your own practice to find out when appointments are available and from where.

Please note these appointments are pre-bookable only and access to surgeries during this time may be controlled (i.e. doors may not be open to general public).

Virtual Walk-In-Service

Calderdale Walk in Centres are currently not open for face to face appointments.

There is a virtual (video/telephone) service available every weekend 08:00-20:00.

Please contact 111 who will assess and then direct you to our booking process.
