Diabetic Care

For regular review of diabetic patients by a GP or Nurse Julie, and podiatrist. You will be notified when your review is due.  Book your appointments for your blood tests and your review appointment by contacting reception.

Counselling

By referral from your doctor to the local service commissioned by Calderdale PCT.

Cervical Smears

Every 3 or 5 years depending age and history in line with local/national policy, by appointment with a practice nurse. Please tell the receptionist if your appointment is for a smear as more time may be needed and paperwork needs preparing.

Blood Pressure

Please find below King Cross Surgery’s home blood pressure readings sheet. Please print this off, complete if you have been asked to by a clinician and return to the Surgery. 

B12 Injections

During the COVID-19 Coronavirus pandemic, the practice is adhering to British Society for Haematology (BSH) guidelines which advise that “Liver stores last for a year and hence levels of B12 will not be affected if one or two 3xmonthly injection is omitted in patients on maintenance parenteral B12 supplements. BSH supports omitting B12 injections even in this group [not thought to be diet related] during COVID19 outbreak at least until the surge has passed.”
