We are in the process of having a significant upgrade to our phone lines. From week commencing 20 July 2022 our lines will be moved to a hosted system, this should help with issues we have faced over the last 12 months of calls cutting while in the call queue and long wait times.
The new system will be more intuitive, with the ability to request a ‘call back’ where the phone system holds your place in the queue and calls your phone when you get to number one, avoiding lengthy waits. Following feedback from patients the Practice will also update our phone message daily to advise when our urgent on the day appointments have been taken and when best to call back if you need to book an urgent appointment, you will still be able to get through to speak to someone for advice, routine appointment booking or signposting if required.
We appreciate the patience of those who have experienced long wait times and hope that these improvements will ensure a smoother system for all.
